One of the modules I've created is the Published Page URL, which shows authors the actual public URL for pages or media items (something that Sitecore doesn't do). Well, now it supports root override items, allowing you to have the resolved Url be off the root of your site instead of its position in the IA. Yeah, I know that's not super clear, but I'll explain further, and you'll like it, along with the hint of another module coming soon!

About a year ago I released the Published Page URL module, which shows authors the actual public URL for pages - something that Sitecore doesn't do. Well, now it supports media library items, allowing you to get the final URL for PDFs, Documents, etc. in multisite, multilingual environments.

A common question I get from new Sitecore Authors, is, “What will this page's URL be? The Sitecore Content Editor provides Item Path, and that can be enough at times, but leaves a lot to be desired. A multilingual implementation for instance will use Display Name and even at times a different domain. To help with this I created the Published Page URL Module, which will provide your content's calculated, final URL in the Content Editor interface.
